During the liposuction process fat is removed and collected into a sterile container. The fat is then transferred to the buttocks. This is done with caution under ultrasound guidance by our experienced surgeons. This is known as a high risk procedure but when done properly the results are beautiful and the risk is low. You can correct hip dips, and give buttocks more projection and lift. Depending on the patients body type they may need to undergo more than one procedure to achieve results they want. Amount of fat is limited by the maximum tension that the skin can reach when fat is injected. It is important not to sit on the area of the fat graft to maintain viability of the tissue and improve graft survival. Patients may lose up to 30-50% of fat within 6 months. A special pillow is recommended to use for sitting post op to reduce the pressure on the buttocks and prevent fat loss. This procedure can be done under local anesthesia without much discomfort. Recovery is quick and most patients return to work in less than a week.
