Micropigmentation, also called permanent makeup, is a cosmetic procedure done by applying natural pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Demographics is most commonly done for eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. It is also used to camouflage scars and create areolas for breast reconstructive patients. Procedure can take from 1-4 hours depending on area being tattooed. The color is more prominent after the procedure and lightens within two weeks. One to two touch-ups may be needed, and should be six weeks apart. |
