A short scar facelift uses shorter incisions than a traditional facelift and, thus, requires a shorter recovery time. Through this procedure, an incision is made in front of the ear, rather than behind, and the muscles and tissue – in the face and, if appropriate, the neck – are repositioned to encourage a younger appearance. The placement of the incision in this procedure is beneficial, in that it won’t affect the hairline and leaves minimal scarring.
